#Currentmood: Don’t Sweat It.

It’s Summer in Florida. It’s 500 Degrees out and I’m going to be doing a photoshoot for Lotus Boutique in Downtown Sarasota. All of the items featured will be from their athelsiure wear store. I wanted to showcase a lot of bright colours with minimalist backgrounds to match the downtown area.

Here’s a mood board  I made for an upcoming Free People Florida Shoot that I’m going to be photographing in the Historic Burns Court Area of Downtown Sarasota.  I wanted to do something a little different than what I have done before in terms of a feeling to the shoot. Free People is VERY bohemian and free spirited and I wanted to take that feeling but match it to a florida downtown girl. The styling will be a little more streamlined and the photography will have more of a 90’s vibe than a 70’s hippy vibe that I usually aim for with this brand. The Burns Court area is super artsy, very florida and has pops of bight colours so I’m really excited to shoot the location. The final edits should be up and posted in the next few days!

I’m sad to say, but I think summer is officially over. Fall colours are starting to come into stores and pumpkin spice everything is on the horizon. In Florida though, we can hold onto that summer feeling most of the year. So, For my next shoot for Free People Florida, I’m planning on shooting at Lido Beach here in Sarasota. I want warm end of summer colours and golden hour light, a with travel feel. This Girl loves sand and surf, and the wonder of nature. Pretty much  your typical “Free People” girl.

Above is a mood board I created for the shoot to keep me on track  with my original vision for when I take the photos and edit them.

I’ve been getting a lot of questions regarding my mood boards. So here it is:

I make them myself.

I don’t use apps, and I don’t get them from somewhere…well I mean I get the concept from all the weird stuff swirling around in my head but.. oh and I also make the palettes, find the images myself and piece them together.
